About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Restaurant Supervisor with a strong background in Indian cuisine to join our growing team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will oversee the daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest experiences, smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams, and consistent delivery of high-quality Indian dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support front-of-house staff to deliver warm, attentive, and professional service.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the quality, presentation, and authenticity of all Indian dishes.
- Oversee restaurant setup, cleanliness, and table arrangements before and during service.
- Manage guest reservations, seating arrangements, and handle customer feedback effectively.
- Train and mentor wait staff to maintain service excellence and product knowledge.
- Monitor inventory, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure minimal wastage.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Assist management with shift scheduling, reporting, and day-end reconciliations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a restaurant supervisory or senior service role.
- Hands-on experience in restaurants serving Indian or multi-ethnic cuisine is highly desirable.
- Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
