Chinese Translator
Reports To: Customer Experience Team Leader
Organization: Luton Medical Hospital

JOB PURPOSE:
The Chinese Translator will provide professional translation and interpretation services between Chinese and English within the hospital environment.

The position is critical in supporting communication between healthcare providers, patients, and visiting Chinese partners or clients. The translator will ensure that language barriers do not hinder quality healthcare delivery, patient safety, or institutional collaboration.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field.
- HSK Level 4 or 5 certification or equivalent Chinese language qualification.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Chinese Translator, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse medical and administrative teams.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Immediate availability to assume duties.
