FIBER TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Certificate in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in fiber installation, splicing, and testing (OTDR, power meter, etc.).
• Knowledge of fiber optic standards, cable types, and splicing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the field under varying conditions.
• Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Duties
• Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables in both underground and aerial environments.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks to ensure quality and reliability.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber infrastructure.
• Accurate ly complete project documentation, including test results and as-built drawings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver successful projects on schedule.

Salary (KES): 25,000- 40,000
