Mount Meru is hiring for below position based out of Nairobi (Kenya) -

Role - Senior Odoo Consultant
Location - Nairobi (Kenya)

Key Responsibilities -
Functional & Technical Leadership -
▪ Lead full Odoo project lifecycle: design, planning, budgeting, configuration, UAT, training, migration, go-live, and support.
▪ Advise clients on best practices for Odoo ERP implementation.
▪ Collaborate with MMG ERP Consultants to translate functional needs into custom technical solutions.

Sales & Upselling Support -
▪ Join client meetings as a domain/industry expert; prepare complex demo’s and lead new project scoping.
▪ Identify and develop upselling opportunities.

Resource Management & Strategic Input -
▪ Advise on resource allocation, team capacity, and workload balancing.
▪ Contribute to hiring, team planning, and consulting capability development.
▪ Participate in strategic reviews and internal process innovation.

Team Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing -
▪ Mentor junior consultants and guide functional leads.
▪ Promote internal knowledge sharing and improve implementation practices.

Need to have -
▪ 7+ years of experience delivering Odoo ERP implementations, within a Product Company Odoo ERP Team or consulting firm or as a seasoned independent consultant.
▪ Proven experience in roles such as solution architecture, or client advisory, demonstrating a strategic and consultative approach to Odoo ERP delivery.
▪ Think and act on the level of a master’s degree in either IT, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
▪ Able to integrate both technical and business perspectives when crafting Odoo ERP solutions.
▪ Strong track record managing complex projects with budgets exceeding USD50000


▪ Skilled in identifying and mitigating delivery risks, controlling scope creep, and resolving critical issues before they escalate.
▪ Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative. Willingness to go beyond a typical 9-to-5 mentality to meet deadlines.
▪ Agile and insightful, with the ability to quickly assess situations, prioritize actions, and lead execution effectively.
▪ Natural authority.
▪ Strong business acumen and ability to interact confidently with MMG C-level Executives.
▪ Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
▪ Fluent in English / Local African Kenyan Language.

Nice to have -
▪ Experience working with SMEs in East or West Africa, and familiarity with sectors such as agribusiness, energy, Logistics, health, mobility, FMCG, hospitality and/or circular business.
▪ Exposure to finance/accounting, Supply Chain and/or IT development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, XML)
▪ Familiarity with Local African Kenyan Language.
