Executive Career Opportunity: Group Head of IT

Planhotel is seeking a Group Head of IT to lead its global IT strategy and operations across an international portfolio of properties. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing guest experience, and ensuring robust cybersecurity.

📍 Location: Based in East Africa or the Indian Ocean (single relocation basis)

Key Responsibilities:
→ Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals
→ Lead and mentor high-performing IT teams
→ Oversee systems, networks & infrastructure across the group
→ Safeguard data integrity, availability & cybersecurity
→ Manage IT budgets, procurement & vendor relations
→ Drive digital transformation and adoption of new technologies
→ Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership
→ Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation

Qualifications:
→ Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field
→ 5+ years in progressive IT leadership (min. 2 years at senior/cluster/group level in hospitality)
→ Hospitality IT experience in East Africa/Indian Ocean is an advantage
→ Strong knowledge of enterprise IT, cloud, data management & cybersecurity
→ Proven leadership in complex projects and digital transformation initiatives
