QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT

General Purpose
Our client is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Assistant to ensure that all food products meet established quality and safety standards by implementing quality assurance systems and monitoring all stages of production.

Location: Enterprise Road - Nairobi | Salary: Ksh. 35,000 (gross)

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring the aging conditions are met and maintained
- Colour preparation and handling are done as per the requirements
- Ensuring that all products meet set standards for quality, safety, and coding
- Ensure that finished products’ storage conditions and all the stipulated requirements are met.
- Ensure the hygiene of both equipment and personnel, and that the work area is clean.
- Ensure the dispatch standards are met.
- Ensuring and verifying that all operations quality records are maintained in real time, filled, and archived for the duration stipulated.
- Monthly verification of all CCPs and OPRPs.
- Sensory evaluation, coordination, and maintaining records
- Control of non-conforming products, generating records, and corrective actions
- Handling of market returns
- Conduct hygiene checks and monthly GMP audits
- Coordination of both the internal and external calibration processes of monitoring equipment.
- Ensure final product inspection(physical, chemical, microbiological)
- Full participation in food safety and QAS team activities.
- Ensure all trainings are done as per the schedule.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Possesses a bachelor’s degree or diploma in food or dairy science.
- Minimum of 3 years working in quality in the food industry, with at least 1 year at a supervisory level.
- Have a working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and other food management systems.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on daily tasks, keen and articulate on details.
