POSITION TITLE: ACCOUNTANT
INDUSTRY: FINTECH
LOCATION: NAIROBI, KENYA
REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring tax and regulatory compliance, and supporting effective financial planning and decision-making. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute directly to Telvioip's growth in the SaaS/VOIP sector by delivering financial insights, optimizing resources, and strengthening the integrity of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
• Record, reconcile, and manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track performance and guide decision-making.

Compliance & Audit
• Ensure timely filing and remittance of statutory taxes and deductions (WHT, VAT, CIT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF).
• Collaborate with external auditors and consultants during quarterly and annual audits.
• Monitor compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and company financial policies.
