QUANTITY SURVEYOR

On behalf of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
- Evaluate and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to select the most cost effective options.
- Conduct quantity take off from architectural and engineering drawings to determine the required materials and quantities for the project.
- Preparation of payment claim.
- Administer and manage contracts, including assessing and documenting variations and claims.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Professional accreditation or membership in a relevant quantity surveying institution (e.g., AQSB and TIAJ) is mandatory.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or engineering projects.
- Thorough knowledge of quantity surveying practices, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and industry-standard QS tools.
