Position Title: Cement Technical Head
Group Cement production capacity : 8 million tons per annum
Projected capacity in next 5 years : 15 million tons per annum
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Government University (IIT/NIT preferred).
Age Limit: Maximum 52 Years
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 20 years’ experience in the cement industry.
At least 8 years as Unit Head / Project Head in an integrated cement plant of 8000+ TPD capacity.
Minimum 5 years in one company with plant capacity above 8000 TPD.
Proven track record in Greenfield clinker & cement plants (≥8000 TPD) – from layout, design, engineering, erection, commissioning, to successful operations.


Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive mechanical expertise for all clinker plant sections – from crusher to packing plant & bulk loading.
Lead design and engineering activities, including review and modification of AutoCAD drawings.
Oversee fabrication, erection, and commissioning of clinker and cement plants.
Deliver mechanical solutions in kiln, coal mill, VRM, and roll press operations.
Possess working knowledge of power plant operations relevant to cement manufacturing.
Lead and manage teams in integrated cement plants to achieve production and efficiency targets.
Finalize layouts and configurations for new integrated cement plants.
Apply knowledge of limestone mines for optimal raw material utilization.
Ensure strict compliance with quality parameters and maintain product quality control.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in clinker and cement plants.
Provide overall leadership to achieve optimum capacity utilization, reliability, and efficiency of cement plants.
Drive conceptualization and decision-making for establishing new cement plants and expansions.

Deep knowledge of process optimization and cost efficiency.
Leadership in multi-disciplinary teams and ability to deliver results.
Strategic vision for cement plant expansions and sustainability initiatives.
