Construction Project Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. The key objective will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide internal reporting and projections for inventory
- Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline - progress and adjustments.
- Develop a comprehensive and detailed programme of works clearly indicating critical patch activities, dependencies, proper sequencing.
- Ensure all legal requirements; building and safety codes, safety inspections and local regulations are met whilst maintaining quality control procedures.
- Provide assistance and advice to various contractors and sub-contractors operating on site for seamless running of the project.
- Tracking of project programme and ability to foresee project risks, prepare and implement various risk mitigation factors.
- Ensure that all project departments and disciplines understand and adhere to contractual obligations; recording, notifying and reporting them accurately.
- Coordinate actions with internal procurement and legal teams if needed.
- Understand all aspects of construction contracts and the commercial, financial, technical and legal application thereof to the benefit of all contracting parties and project disciplines

Qualifications:
- Experience in working with a Contractor is a must.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in construction project management, civil engineering or closely related specialization.
- Minimum 4 years proven experience in commercial and high-end construction management in Kenya.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Registered with a professional association of construction project managers will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience of working with BIM and 3D modelling software such as Revit will be an added advantage.
