MCK MEDIA INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
SEPTEMBER - NOVEMBER 2025 COHORT

The Media Council of Kenya, in partnership with recognised media houses, runs a media industrial attachment that is geared towards providing journalism/communication students with practical work experience before graduation and preparing them for the job market.

🕑 Duration of the Industrial Attachment
The attachment lasts for a period of Three Months (3), September – November 2025.

🎯 Eligibility
Students pursuing a degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital and Corporate Communication, who meet the above requirements, are eligible to apply.

📌 Placement
Beneficiaries will be placed in recognised media/ communication outlets across the country under the following areas of specialization; Print, Broadcast Radio/Television, Technical/ Production and Digital content creation.

📝 Application Requirements
1. Final year students from a recognised university or college.
2. Recommendation letter from the university or college issued in the last 2 months stating the period when the placement is required.
3. Academic transcripts for the current academic year.
4. Valid Student Identification Card
5. Valid MCK Student Press Card 2025
6. Mandatory sample of journalistic work done, including online content, school project etc.
