Job Specifications
Responsible for carrying out efficient operations of Harbour Pilot services as set in this provisions of International Safety Management (ISM) Code, applicable International Maritime Convention, National legislation.
A. Seaman (tug mate)
• Undertake timely and efficient provision of harbour crafts services as set in individual performance target.
• Undertake bunkering operations for Harbour crafts and ensure bunkering procedures are adhered to.
• Execute maintenance plans and schedules for Harbour craft in liaison with Marine Engineering department.
B. Coastwain 1st-ICraft
• Undertake timely and efficient provision of Harbour Pilot/mooring boats services as set in individual performance target.
• Undertake bunkering operations for Harbour Pilot/mooring boats and ensure bunkering procedures are adhered to.
• Execute maintenance plans and schedules for Harbour Pilot/mooring boats in liaison with Marine Engineering department.
C. Mooring Assistant
• Supervision of mooring gang to avoid marine delays and accidents/incidents in line with the provisions of Safety Management system and see performance targets.
• Supervise mooring gang with an aim of enhancing safety and avoidance of marine delays in line with the supervision of Safety Management system (SMS) Code and set performance targets.
• Ensure provision of safe working environment on mooring gang and that the work is conducted in line with Marine Engineering department safety procedures.
• Supervise mooring gang for timely execution of shoring/hauling of ships as planned.
• Coordinate mooring boat operations for safe and smooth berthing of ships in the planned position.
• Conduct the pilot on board on the vessel to ensure the vessel is bent in the planned position.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, Harbour regulations, IMO codes and ISPS codes issued from time to time.
Person Specifications
• KCSE certificate or its equivalent.
• Three (3) years’ Experience as Sailor or in relevant field.
• STCW 95 mandatory certificates Crosswind certificate.
• Fulfill the requirements of chapter 6 of the Constitution.
LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST/
Department - Medical Services
Grade - KPA27
Terms of Service - Pensionalble
Remuneration (Ksh) - Basic Salary: 40,000.00
House Allowance: 20,000.00
Motor Transport Allowance: 25,000.00
Job Specification
• Proper use of laboratory handling of laboratory records to keep confidentiality of patients at the personal level.
• Execute the Pre-Analytical, Analytical and Post analytical processes of the laboratory investigations and related duties.
• Keep DIAS in document and post results on SAP or hard copy.
• Ensure direct report and proper follow up on Total Quality Council (TQC).
• Participates in internal and external quality control (IQC and EQA).
• Ensures cleanliness /equipment/specimen bottles and other apparatus for microbiological use.
• Prepares routine laboratory reagents and culture media for the laboratory of examination.
• Ensures specimens are put and processed in the right specimen containers and conditions.
• Implements a good laboratory practice system for all test and control results.
• Ensures continuous professional development (CPD).
• Handles hazardous material and other apparatus for microbiological use.
• Participate in proper disposal of biohazard waste and safety of the MPN and MIS in order to create a safe working environment.
Person Specification
• KCSE certificate or its equivalent.
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
• Registered member of Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists board.
• KCSTL.
• Demonstrate high degree of professional competency, administrative capabilities and initiative in the general examination and management of Laboratory Services and a good understanding of Health Care Management.
• 3 years’ experience in a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a Ziplus operational organization.
• Complies with Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya-Ethics and integrity.
• Uphold Chapter 4 of the constitution of Kenya.
• Uprid Healthcare 253A3 1999 – KMTI 41.
PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST/
