Legal Officer

Tenkata is a digital platform empowering MSMEs through financial records, financial literacy, and access to credit. We are expanding our team and looking for a Legal Officer who is passionate about compliance, contracts, and corporate governance.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized University
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing with the LSK
- Minimum of 2 years post-admission experience in a busy work environment
- Valid practicing certificate for the current year
- Proven performance in Dispute Resolution (Litigation & ADR), Contract Law, and Compliance & Regulatory work
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing & negotiating contracts
- Legal compliance & regulatory advisory
- Litigation management & court representation
- Legal research & policy review
- Preparing reports on legal and regulatory matters
- Supporting internal legal trainings

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Start Date: Immediate
