Legal Officer
Tenakata is a digital platform empowering MSMEs through financial records, financial literacy, and access to credit. We are expanding our team and looking for a Legal Officer who is passionate about compliance, contracts, and corporate governance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized University
• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing with the LSK
• Minimum of 2 years post-admission experience in a busy work environment
• Valid practicing certificate for the current year
• Proven performance in Dispute Resolution (Litigation & ADR), Contract Law, and Compliance & Regulatory work
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
• Drafting, reviewing & negotiating contracts
• Legal compliance & regulatory advisory
• Litigation management & court representation
• Legal research & policy review
• Preparing reports on legal and regulatory matters
• Supporting internal legal trainings
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
