Legal Officer
Tenakata is a digital platform empowering MSMEs through financial records, financial literacy, and access to credit. We are expanding our team and looking for a Legal Officer who is passionate about compliance, contracts, and corporate governance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized University.
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing with the LSK.
- Minimum of 2 years post-admission experience in a busy work environment.
- Valid practicing certificate for the current year.
- Proven performance in Dispute Resolution (Litigation & ADR), Contract Law, and Compliance & Regulatory work.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing & negotiating contracts.
- Legal compliance & regulatory advisory.
- Litigation management & court representation.
- Legal research & policy review.
- Preparing reports on legal and regulatory matters.
- Supporting internal legal trainings.
