Hiring Agronomist

We Are

• Location: Nairobi
• Salary: Ksh 30,000-40,000
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Age: Below 35 years

Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop health, growth progress, and environmental conditions
• Provide technical advice on best agronomic practices, including soil management, fertilization, pest and disease control
• Carry out soil testing, analysis, and recommend appropriate nutrient management plans
• Develop crop calendars, planting schedules, and production plans
• Train farmers or field staff on modern farming techniques and sustainable agricultural practices
• Monitor and evaluate farm inputs, ensuring proper usage and timely application
• Identify crop challenges and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
• Keep accurate records of crop performance, input usage, and field observations
• Prepare agronomic reports and share recommendations with management or farmers
• Ensure all field operations comply with agricultural standards, environmental guidelines, and safety protocols

Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in agricultural production, farm management, or agronomy advisory
• Strong knowledge of soil science, crop protection, and plant nutrition
• Ability to diagnose crop issues and provide technical solutions
• Proficiency in agricultural data collection and reporting
• Good communication and farmer training skills
• Keen attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and high integrity
